MINDFUL MUSIC RETREAT

THE WHOLE MUSICIAN ~ A JOURNEY HOME

Being a musician is not just a profession.

It is, in its purest form, an expression of all that you are. Are you giving this sacred expression the space to blossom?

Embark on a magical journey into the depth of your being.

Listen deeply and everything will start falling into place.

Receive the transmission and start co-creating for a new paradigm:

  • Discover what it means to fully meet yourself and others.

  • Learn ways to support yourself on the journey of healing, integration, and eventually wholeness.

  • Unleash the power that lies in your uniqueness, stop fighting for your place in the (music) world, and take your seat in this adventure of your life, that is yours alone.

“These days with Mindful Music Making where beauty was shining out of every leave, stone, word, person and tone and the journey of being once again becoming miraculous, wild and connected...”

— Magdalena Lorenz

Maybe you are wondering, how to connect mindfulness, inner work, and even your core values with your profession as a musician.

Do you at times feel torn between being in the external world and being in connection and peace within yourself?

Do you wonder, how to stay true to yourself and find your place in the (music) world?

How can that all go together?

When we founded Mindful Music Making, we brought together 3 different gifts to this project:

  • Alina’s decades of experience as a well-established soloist worldwide, her passion and vision of a more holistic and humane music world,

  • Susannes 20 years of experience in the field of holistic embodiment

  • and Leonie’s deep understanding and expertise of Developmental Trauma through Gestalt and Trauma Therapy.

Together, we created a field that continues to grow in its potency and healing energy and have accompanied many musicians on their journeys over the last years.

We strongly believe that it is possible to be a healthy and thriving musician and that by healing and empowering ourselves we can start embodying and contributing to a new way of being and playing.

“This retreat was one of the best and most profound experiences of my life, as a human being and as a violinist. I was also grateful to observe the healing and transformation of other participants throughout the week. It really got the the heart and core of issues and conflicts which musicians so often try to deal with on a surface level, and I wish that everyone could learn from Alina, Leonie, Susanne and Come. It was a very special and rare experience.”

— Emma Baird

The summer retreat is the heart of Mindful Music Making’s offerings.

What is happening at this retreat?

During this 6-days journey, you will join like-minded musicians who are longing to deepen their connection with themselves, with music, and with their contribution to the world.

The retreat atmosphere will allow you to explore these core questions:

  • What does it mean to feel at home within yourself with all of who you are?

  • How can your music-making be a healthy and integrated part of yourself?

  • How can you be yourself, while making music - and while in the (musical) world?

  • How will your sound be, when you play or sing from that place of wholeness? How will your relationship with your instrument be, to your audience, your musical partners, and the places you play?

We will offer you different pathways and experiences to deepen into this sense of being more fully at home within yourself and as yourself.

We are so much looking forward to welcoming you there.

Where are we staying?

After the experience of many fulfilling and nourishing retreats at Breitenteicher Mühle, close to Berlin, we are returning this magical place once more.

We will be surrounded by beautiful nature and be taken care of by an amazing team with home-made organic and vegetarian food, mostly from the garden.

You can enjoy your free time by taking inspiring walks through the gardens and fields, sit by the fire and make use of the beautiful sauna.

What tools we are working with?

We are drawing on our experiences with practices from different paths and traditions such as meditation, NARM, Alexander-Technique, Gestalt therapy, Vision Quest, and Nature-based practices.

While these are all “just” tools, portals, and doorways to create a space for you to drop into your own wisdom, your own wholeness, and your own Unique Essence.
