“Me and my instrument: a journey”

Exclusive in-person workshop with Susanne Feld in Berlin

What is the sound of who you really are?

What happens if you enter a deep conversation to your inner voice that longs to be expressed?

What, if your instrument was the symbol of your music-making, of your expression in this world?

Embark on a journey to discover the secrets your instrument holds for you.

  • Connect deeply to your unique sound

  • Explore your story with your instrument

  • Find out what your resources are and how to tap into them.

  • Discover how you can embody your instrument and your physical body in a new way and play from a deeper place within you.

Dear Music Maker,

In this workshop, we will invite you on a journey to (re)connect with your instruments: your body and your musical instrument, and from there, allow your sound to unfold. We will listen deeply and lovingly for this sound that is yours alone.

During this days we’ll sink into both: a restful state and that place, where your energy naturally flows. With embodiment practices, which sensitize and free your body, we’ll begin by tuning the primary instrument. And it’s not only the body, as we know, but also our way of thinking and approaching our own music-making, that we can invite into alignment.

  • What is it, that brings me joy in music?

  • What is it that frustrates me and frightens me?

  • What are my resources in myself and music making?

We’ll explore and practice embodied pathways to come back to restful, aligned, and free ways of being - and playing.

From that place, we will allow sound, your sound, to unfold.

You can look forward to two days of big permission to be who you are - including your relationship to your body, your instrument, and your sound.

Be surprised and deeply touched. By your own revelation and by meeting other human beings in this precious intimate space.

I am looking forward to journeying with you!

With Love,
 Susanne

What participants say:

"I love Susannes work. Having had a session with her gives me a new and refreshing access to my violin and changes the outcome on stage beautifully.” Katharina

“The sessions with Susanne are very precious to me. As musicians, we tend to be driven by our intellect, ambitions, time pressure and the desire to please other people. Something important can easily get neglected on the way: our own personal relationship with our instrument. I wasn’t even aware of my emotional response to my instrument or of behaviour patterns that have manifested in my body in the form of tension. In her unique way, Susanne helps us to uncover the relationship with our instrument from layers of – in my case – decades of experience. If you follow this invitation, be prepared to discover something that feels at the same time new and exciting, but also deeply familiar: yourself.” Medea

"I always enjoy the embodiment sessions with Susanne so much!! It was very special for me to notice how healing and incredibly liberating it is to take care of the relationship to your own instrument. Susanne simply has a great gift for creating a wonderfully intuitive atmosphere with her voice and the right words at the right time, in which there is a lot of space and safety." Marit
